Wild Goose (DaYan) Qigong was developed over 1,700 years ago. The movements of this beautiful form mimic the graceful movements of wild geese. All the teachers at Energy Matters were trained and certified by GrandMaster Hui Liu. We offer three levels of Wild Goose classes. Additionally, our students run several free weekly practice groups, and we come together as a whole school four times a year at our Solstice and Equinox Practices.
- Wild Goose Qigong 1st Set: This 64 movement form is the foundation of the Wild Goose practice; one year of study at this level is the prerequisite for all other classes. It is taught in 16 week sessions, with new sessions starting several times a year. Each class includes warm-ups, mediation and form instruction and practice.
Once you have studied 1st set for a year or more, you may join either of these classes:
- Wild Goose Qigong 1st Set: Intermediate Level: These classes are taught on an on-going basis and focus on detailed refinement of the 1st Set and on helping the students deepen their understanding of Qi through awareness exercises.
- Wild Goose Qigong 2nd Set: This 64 movement form is more physically and energetically demanding than 1st Set. Particularly useful for those who want to strengthen their own Qi to use in service of others (health care providers, teachers etc) and those who enjoy the challenge of learning a second complex form. This is taught once a year, starting in the Fall, for 20 weeks.
